Our Foundation

GMHMA of Las Vegas is a family-oriented martial arts school teaching a form of martial arts called Youn Wha Ryu. Grand Master Man Hee Han (9th degree Black Belt) is the founder of both the Youn Wha Ryu System of martial arts and the World Youn Wha Ryu Association. Youn Wha Ryu is a complex self-defense system that goes beyond "Kicking & Punching". This comprehensive curriculum is based in traditional TAE KWON DO, incorporating the most effective and efficient techniques from KARATE, KUNG FU, JIU-JITSU, AIKIDO, JUDO, HAPKIDO, KENDO, TAI CHI, HWA RANG DO, and others.

SELF-DEFENSE

Practical Application

Students learn practical self-defense concepts that focus on increasing reaction, timing, speed and full-body power. The dynamic classes combine both aerobic and anaerobic training and encourage the development of self-discipline, perseverance, balance, agility, coordination, flexibility and total-body strength. Training can be modified as needed for students to be able to participate regardless of age and ability level.

BULLYING PREVENTION

Prepare your Child for Life

We will teach your child to use verbal assertiveness to deter bullies and several non-violent self-defense approach to stay safe if physically assaulted. The bottom line is: we will prepare your child to defend themselves against bullies without turning them into one.
